What is the ISE2008D?
The ISE2008D is an unmanaged 8-port industrial Ethernet switch available in two port configurations: 8× 10/100BaseT copper, or 2× 100BaseX SFP + 6× 10/100BaseT copper for fiber uplink. Layer 2, fanless, IP30, DIN-rail mounted, redundant 9.6–60 V DC / 18–30 V AC dual power input. Operating temperature −40 °C to +75 °C. Certifications: CE, FCC, UL.
How do I install and power the ISE2008D?
Mount on a 35 mm DIN rail. Connect the redundant power inputs to a 9.6–60 V DC or 18–30 V AC source — automatic failover between the two inputs. Connect Ethernet devices to the RJ45 ports; if your variant has SFP slots, install compatible 100BaseX SFP modules for fiber uplink. Plug-and-play.
What configuration options does the ISE2008D have?
Two physical DIP switches: QoS (2-queue WRR priority) and Broadcast Storm Protection. Set DIPs before powering. No web interface, no CLI — these are the only configurable options on the unmanaged ISE2008D.
When should I choose the ISE2008D vs ISE2016D?
Choose ISE2008D for compact deployments with up to 8 ports and DIN-rail mounting in tight cabinets. Choose ISE2016D when you need 16 ports plus a built-in alarm relay output (for power-failure or link-down notifications to a monitoring system). The ISE2016D has a larger footprint (52×140×110 mm) and 8K MAC table, vs. ISE2008D’s 24×100×61.8 mm and 4K MAC table.
