Which cellular variants and certifications does the VG710-M support?

The VG710-M is available in three cellular tiers plus a no-cellular variant:

  • VG710-M-NRQ5 — 5G NR (global, 3GPP Release 16, NSA/SA)
  • VG710-M-FQ09 — LTE Cat 6 (global)
  • VG710-M-FQ58 — LTE Cat 4 (EMEA/APAC)
  • VG710-M-EN00 — no cellular

Carrier certifications: Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, plus FCC, IC, PTCRB, CE, E-Mark, ITxPT, and RoHS. The VG710-M is purpose-built for rail and heavy-duty vehicle deployments with M12 X/D-coded Ethernet + FAKRA antenna connectors, plus EN50155, EN50121, EN61373, and EN45545 rail certifications.

The VG710-M uses vibration-resistant M12 connectors throughout. Wire the IGT pin on the 8-pin M12 power connector to the vehicle’s ignition-controlled circuit (input voltage 9–36 V DC). Connect the M12 X-coded port for the Gigabit Ethernet uplink and M12 D-coded ports for 100 Mbps LAN devices. Connect FAKRA antennas color-coded by function: D-coded purple for cellular, I-coded beige for Wi-Fi, C-coded for GNSS — per the Quick Start Guide.

Insert the SIM with the device powered off. Apply IGT to power on — the VG710-M auto-detects the carrier and applies the matching APN in most cases, so no manual setup is needed. If the cellular link does not come up, log in to http://192.168.2.1 , go to Network > Cellular > Cellular, configure the APN, authentication, and dual-SIM enable, and click Apply. Verify by checking the Cellular LED: steady green = network connected; blinking green = data transmitting; off = no network connection.

The VG710-M uses M12 X/D-coded Ethernet connectors and FAKRA antenna connectors for vibration-resistant cabling — designed for rail, public transit, and heavy-duty in-vehicle deployments with EN50155, EN50121, EN61373, and EN45545 rail certifications, IP64 protection, and a die-cast aluminum housing. The VG710-H uses standard RJ45 Ethernet + SMA antenna connectors — designed for commercial fleet and lighter-duty applications. The VG710-M is available in 5G (NRQ5), LTE Cat 6 (FQ09), or LTE Cat 4 (FQ58) cellular options; the VG710-H is 5G only. Both share 1 GB DDR3 RAM and the same software feature set.
