How do I install and power the ISE5008D?
Mount on a 35 mm DIN rail. Connect the redundant power inputs to a 9.6–60 V DC or 18–30 V AC source. Connect Gigabit Ethernet devices to the 8× RJ45 ports. Plug-and-play.
What configuration options does the ISE5008D have?
Two physical DIP switches: QoS (2-queue WRR priority) and Broadcast Storm Protection. No web GUI, no CLI, no SNMP — DIP switches are the only configurable options.
When should I choose the ISE5008D vs ISE5010D?
Choose ISE5008D when 8 Gigabit copper ports are sufficient and fiber uplinks are not required. Choose ISE5010D when you need 8 Gigabit copper plus 2× 100/1000BaseX SFP slots for fiber uplink (helpful for connecting to a remote site or a backbone over distance). The ISE5010D has a larger 52×140×110 mm enclosure and 20 Gbps backplane.
