The VG814-Rail is purpose-built for railway and bus deployments. SKUs: VG814-FS59-W-G-R (LTE Cat 6, EU/Africa/APAC/Oceania), VG814-FQ59-W-G-R (LTE Cat 6, EU/APAC), VG814-NRQ3-W-G-R (5G Sub-6 + LTE Cat 20, global). Certifications: EN50155, EN50121-3-2, EN61373, EN45545-2 (railway), CE, RoHS, and E-Mark. North American carrier certifications are not listed for the Rail variant.

The VG814-Rail uses TNC antenna connectors (vibration-resistant) and M12 X-coded GbE connectors for shock-resilient cabling. Wire the IGT pin on the M12 power connector to the vehicle’s ignition circuit. Input voltage range: 9–48 V DC, suitable for typical rail and bus electrical systems. Verify the device meets EN50155 requirements for your specific railway application.

Insert the SIM with the device powered off. Apply power and IGT — the VG814-Rail auto-detects the carrier and applies the matching APN in most cases, so no manual setup is needed. If the cellular link does not come up, log in at http://192.168.2.1 (default Wi-Fi SSID VG814-[last 6] , password = last 8 of serial number), go to Network > Cellular, enter the APN and configure dual-SIM enable as needed, and click Apply. Verify by checking the Cellular LED: steady green = dialup succeeded (connected); blinking green = dialup in progress; blinking red = dialup failed. The Signal LED color (red / blue / green) indicates weak / moderate / strong signal.

Both share the same hardware platform and cellular options. VG814-Schiene uses TNC antenna connectors, M12 X-coded Ethernet connectors, and is certified for EN50155 / EN45545 railway compliance. VG814-Straße uses FAKRA automotive antenna connectors, supports ITxPT public-transport services, and targets road-vehicle applications. Choose Rail for trains, trams, and rail-grade buses; Road for commercial fleet and intelligent transit-bus deployments.
