What is the VG710 (4G version)?

The VG710 4G version is an LTE vehicle gateway with 4× RJ45 Ethernet ports + SMA antenna connectors and a 4-pin power connector. Cellular SKUs: VG710-FS39 (LTE Cat 6, AT&T-certified for North America) and VG710-FQ09 (LTE Cat 6, Verizon-certified). Available with 1 GB DDR3 RAM ( -H suffix) or 512 MB DDR3 RAM ( -B suffix). Regulatory certifications: FCC, IC, PTCRB, CE, E-Mark, ITxPT, RoHS.

The VG710 requires an ignition (IGT) signal to power on. Wire the IGT pin on the 4-pin power connector (V+, V−, IGT, NC) to the vehicle’s ignition-controlled circuit; without IGT, the device remains off or in low-power state. Input voltage: 9–36 V DC. After IGT is asserted, LEDs light and the boot sequence begins. Configure ignition delay and delayed-power-off behavior in the web GUI under Administration > System.

Insert the SIM with the device powered off. Apply IGT to power on — the VG710 auto-detects the carrier and applies the matching APN in most cases, so no manual setup is needed. If the cellular link does not come up, log in to http://192.168.2.1 , go to Network > Cellular, configure the APN, authentication, and dual-SIM enable, and click Apply. Verify by checking the Cellular LED: steady green = network connected; blinking green = data transmitting; off = no network connection.

The 4G VG710 is the LTE Cat 6 vehicle gateway with RJ45 Ethernet and SMA antennas — for commercial fleet and telematics deployments where 4G LTE meets the bandwidth requirement. VG710-H keeps the same RJ45 + SMA interface but is the 5G NR version (NSA + SA) with 1 GB RAM standard. VG710-M uses M12 + FAKRA connectors with EN50155 / EN50121 / EN61373 / EN45545 rail certifications, available in 5G or 4G LTE cellular variants for rail and heavy-duty in-vehicle deployments.
