Cellular SKUs include ER615-CNNR (China 5G), ER615-CNC4 (China 4G Cat 4), ER615-EUC4 (EU/APAC 4G Cat 4), and ER615-EN00 (no cellular). Each is available with or without Wi-Fi ( -WLAN or -NA ).
How do I set up and log in to the ER615 for the first time?
Install the cellular and Wi-Fi antennas, insert the SIM card, and connect the 12 V/2 A power adapter. Once the device boots, connect a computer via Ethernet to a LAN port. Set the adapter to DHCP or a 192.168.2.x static IP. Open a browser and go to http://192.168.2.1 . Log in with the credentials printed on the device label.
How do I connect the ER615 to cellular and set the APN?
With the device powered off, insert the SIM card(s). Power on — the ER615 auto-detects the carrier and applies the matching APN in most cases, so no manual setup is needed. If the cellular link does not come up, log in, go to Internet 〉 Cellular, configure the APN per your carrier’s requirements, and click Apply. For dual-SIM (or eSIM) failover, configure each profile and set the link priority. Verify by checking the Network LED: steady green = cellular connected; blinking green = connecting; blinking red = disconnected.
How do I configure failover on the ER615?
The ER615 supports cellular (dual nano-SIM + optional eSIM), dual wired WAN, and Wi-Fi client uplink. Configure failover in three places under Internet:
- Uplink Table — drag uplinks to set the priority order.
- Uplink Setting > Link Detection — set Detection Addresses and thresholds for latency, jitter, packet loss, and signal strength.
- Link Backup > Failover Mode — choose the switching behavior to the next-priority uplink.
Click Save. Failback happens automatically once the higher-priority uplink recovers and passes Link Detection.
