How do I deploy the EAP600 as an access point?

The EAP600 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) access point for indoor enterprise networks — recommended coverage 200–300 m², up to 150 concurrent clients, peak 2974 Mbps combined. Typical deployment:

  1. Mount — ceiling using the included bracket (recommended) or place on a desktop. 158 × 158 × 28 mm circular housing, internal antennas only.
  2. Power and uplink — connect the single Gigabit Ethernet port to an 802.3af PoE switch or injector; one cable carries both power and data. A 12 V/2 A DC adapter is available as an optional accessory.
  3. Pick the operating mode — the EAP600 ships in FAT-Routing (own subnet + DHCP, useful when it connects directly to an internet uplink). Switch to FAT-Bridge when it sits behind an existing router and clients should share the upstream LAN/DHCP.
  4. Configure SSIDs and security — up to 8 SSIDs per band (16 total), WPA2/WPA3 (Personal or Enterprise), VLAN tagging, guest isolation, and MAC filtering.
  5. Manage at scale — register in InCloud Manager (free license included) for zero-touch deployment, batch firmware/config push, topology view, and client analytics. For multi-AP sites, enable Mesh so additional EAP600 units join automatically over wireless backhaul.

Connect a laptop via Ethernet, or join the default Wi-Fi SSID EAP600-XXXXXX / EAP600-5G-XXXXXX . Open a browser and go to https://192.168.10.1 — accept the self-signed certificate warning. Log in with the credentials on the device label. If the page doesn’t load, ensure your laptop is set to DHCP.

Log in and go to Wi-Fi > SSIDs to create or edit SSIDs (up to 8 per band, 16 total across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz). For each SSID set the broadcast band, security type (WPA2 / WPA3 Personal or Enterprise), and password. Optional per-SSID controls include client isolation (block client-to-client traffic on the same SSID), SSID hiding, and MAC whitelist/blacklist. Click Apply to push the SSID live.

The EAP600 ships with a free InCloud Manager license. Steps:

  1. Sign in (or create an account) at https://star.inhandcloud.com .
  2. In the portal, click Add Device and enter the EAP600’s serial number (printed on the device label) along with any required label fields.
  3. Connect the EAP600 to the internet — once it reaches the platform, it appears online in the portal.

You can then push configuration, schedule firmware upgrades, view client analytics, and remotely access the device from one dashboard. Cloud management can be turned off at any time under System > Cloud Management for fully-standalone operation.
