The VG814-Road is designed for road-vehicle and public-transit-bus deployments with FAKRA automotive antenna connectors, ITxPT public-transport service support, and IP53 protection.
How do I power on the VG814-Road in a vehicle?
The VG814-Road requires an ignition (IGT) signal to power on. Wire the IGT pin on the 4-pin PWR connector to an ignition-controlled source. Input voltage range is 9–48 V DC. LEDs light and the boot sequence completes once IGT is asserted. For bench testing, IGT can be temporarily wired to V+.
How do I connect the VG814-Road to cellular and set the APN?
With the device powered off, insert the SIM card(s). Power on (ensure IGT is asserted) — the VG814-Road auto-detects the carrier and applies the matching APN in most cases, so no manual setup is needed. If the cellular link does not come up, log in, go to cellular settings in the web GUI, configure the APN per your carrier’s requirements, and click Apply. Verify by checking the Cellular LED: steady green = dialup succeeded (connected); blinking green = dialup in progress; blinking red = dialup failed (no module or SIM detected); off = dialup disabled. The Signal LED color indicates signal strength.
