How do I install and power the ISM7012D?
- Mount to a 35 mm DIN rail using the integrated clip.
- Connect redundant 18–60 V DC dual power inputs — both inputs accept the same wide voltage range and provide automatic failover. Overload-current and reverse-polarity protection are built in.
- Install SFP modules (sold separately) into the 4× 1000BaseX SFP ports for fiber uplink.
- Connect copper devices to the 8× 10/100/1000BaseT RJ45 ports.
- Optional — connect a console cable to the management serial CLI port for initial out-of-band configuration.
How do I access the ISM7012D web interface?
Connect a PC to any copper port and set its IP into the device’s management subnet (per the nameplate / device label). Open a browser to the management IP and log in with the credentials on the device label. Other access paths:
- Serial CLI via the dedicated management port (for initial setup or out-of-band recovery)
- SSH2 for encrypted remote CLI
- SNMPv1/v2c/v3 for NMS integration; RMON for traffic statistics and fault prediction; TRAP for event notifications
How does the ISM7012D differ from the ISM7312D?
Both are 12-port managed Layer 2+ industrial switches with the same 4× SFP + 8× GbE port layout, 68 Gbps backplane, software feature set, dimensions, and operating temperature range. The differences are PoE and the corresponding power-input voltage:

Pick the ISM7012D for non-PoE deployments where you want maximum power-input flexibility (any wide-voltage DC supply from 18–60 V works). Pick the ISM7312D when downstream PoE devices — IP cameras, Wi-Fi APs, VoIP phones — need to be powered from the switch.
