The VG814-Rail uses TNC antenna connectors (vibration-resistant) and M12 X-coded GbE connectors for shock-resilient cabling. Wire the IGT pin on the M12 power connector to the vehicle’s ignition circuit. Input voltage range: 9–48 V DC, suitable for typical rail and bus electrical systems. How do I connect the VG814-Rail to cellular and set the APN?
Insert the SIM with the device powered off. Apply power and IGT — the VG814-Rail auto-detects the carrier and applies the matching APN in most cases, so no manual setup is needed. If the cellular link does not come up, log in at http://192.168.2.1 (default Wi-Fi SSID VG814-[last 6] , password = last 8 of serial number), go to Network > Cellular, enter the APN and configure dual-SIM enable as needed, and click Apply. Verify by checking the Cellular LED: steady green = dialup succeeded (connected); blinking green = dialup in progress; blinking red = dialup failed. The Signal LED color (red / blue / green) indicates weak / moderate / strong signal.
