R & D

 

Job Duties
45%: Oversee research and development, including new product development and product customization projects, for American markets, by working closely with InHand Networks research and development team: plan and draft new product specifications and project proposals based on company product roadmaps and / or customer requirements, as well as oversee technical feasibility studies. Upon approval of such projects, guide a cross-border team, including a R&D team at InHand’s parent company based in China, to facilitate industrial and building internet of things products; to coordinate amount functional teams; and to ensure project outcomes.
25%: Manage and lead company’s engineers in R&D. Oversee the R&D work of our cross-border team of technical engineers, including Test Engineers, Front-End Engineers, Back-End Engineers, Embedded Software Engineers, and Hardware Engineers. Review customer requirements and instruct technical engineers on how to provide and build the appropriate IoT product, utilizing advanced understanding of industrial switches, industrial routers, edge computing Product features such as gateways and IoT cloud platforms and their application technical solutions.
15%: Manage product certifications for markets in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. Work with Test Engineers to conduct certification processes with labs, handling the required paperwork, and assessing whether modifications and design changes are needed to our products, including InSwitch series industrial Ethernet switches, InRouter series industrial routers, and InGateway series industrial edge computing gateways. Certifications include FCC, UL Lab, Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Rogers Canada, and Anatel Brazil.
10%: Define and propose New Product Roadmap for the American markets. Help company continue to build its presence in the North American and Latin American markets, using feedback from our US sales team and American customers; working on company strategy defined by management; and overseeing the technical roadmaps proposed by R&D department. Product roadmaps will involve industrial routers, gateways, and other products.
 
5%: Travel, primarily to U.S. tradeshows, with occasional international travel for company management meetings in China and other locations.
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent in mechanical engineering, automation engineering, or closely related field.

Five years of experience as R&D Manager, R&D Engineer, or related role, which involved Industrial IoT (Internet of Things) product development; leading R&D projects for product; and managing technical, product management, and production teams.

Sales

Responsibilities
1. Provide technical and business knowledge of InHand’s industrial IoT solutions to the sales team;

2. Understand customer needs and requirements, and collaborate with the sales team to develop and propose tailored solutions;

3. Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and webinars to illustrate the benefits and unique selling points of our IoT solutions;

4. Develop strong relationships with machine makers, system integrators, and channels, understanding their business goals and demonstrating how our solutions can help achieve them;

5. Work closely with the product team to provide feedback and insights from customers, aiding in future product development;

6. Prepare and deliver technical proposals, product updates, and special technical reports;

7. Participate in industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to maintain a comprehensive understanding of market trends and competitor activities.

Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field;

2. 5+ years of experience in sales, pre-sales, or a similar customer-facing role;

3. Deep understanding of industrial IoT, including AI, machine learning, and related technologies;

4. Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, understandable way;

5. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders including senior-level executives, legal, technical, finance, sales, and marketing experts;

6. Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills;

7. Willingness to travel as required;

8. Bilingual English and Mandarin Chinese will be a strong plus.

Marketing

Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales and increase brand awareness;
2. Conduct market research and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities;
3. Manage advertising campaigns across various channels, including Google Ads and print advertising;
4. Create compelling copy for marketing materials, including website content, social media posts, and email campaigns;
 
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate product launches and promotions;
 
6. Monitor and optimize marketing campaigns using analytics tools to maximize performance;
 
7. Assist with budgeting and forecasting for marketing initiatives;
 
8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in performance marketing and e-commerce.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field;
2. Proven experience in marketing, preferably in a similar role;
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
4. Proficiency in Google Analytics and other marketing analytics tools;
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
6. Ability to multitask and prioritize projects effectively
7. Knowledge of budgeting principles and experience managing marketing budgets
8. Familiarity with product management concepts is a plus.
