Now certified on Verizon, AT&T and T‑Mobile, the VG710‑NRQ5 delivers unparalleled network agility—fleets can seamlessly select or switch carriers to optimize coverage, performance or cost without changing hardware. With FirstNet® approval, fleets unlock LTE Band 14 and benefit from priority and preemption when equipped with an active FirstNet plan and SIM.
Release 16 Performance for Mission Critical Operations
Powered by a 3GPP Release 16 5G module, the VG710-NRQ5 delivers enhanced uplink throughput and mobility performance for bandwidth- and latency-sensitive in-vehicle applications—live video and evidence upload, computer‑aided dispatch, telematics, diagnostics, and passenger/student Wi‑Fi for real-time situational awareness.
Robust In-Vehicle Wi-Fi & Rich Interfaces
Built with rich interfaces such as Gigabit Ethernet, serial ports and I/O, the VG710-NRQ5 connects to onboard mission-critical devices such as cameras, sensors and fare/ticketing systems. High-performance in-vehicle Wi-Fi provides passenger connectivity and supports tablets for Mobile Data Terminals when needed. Together, these capabilities enable seamless integration of vehicle systems.
Edge Application & Cloud Integration
Developers can rapidly deploy telematics, analytics or fleet management services directly on the gateway—then securely integrate processed data with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. The VG710 enables straightforward integration with third‑party fleet management platforms for task assignment, route planning, vehicle tracking, real‑time messaging and geofencing.

Designed for harsh mobile environments, the VG7100NRQ5’s IP64-rated enclosure protects against dust and water, and it meets industry‑standard EMC immunity tests for reliable operation around vehicle electronics. A wide operating temperature range (‑22°F to 158°F / ‑30°C to 70°C) ensures performance in extreme climates. TAA compliance supports U.S. government and SLED procurement, and layered security (stateful firewall, VPN such as IPsec/OpenVPN, encrypted management) safeguards critical data streams.
