What is the ISE2005D?
The ISE2005D is an unmanaged 5-port industrial Ethernet switch with 5× 10/100BaseT copper RJ45 ports. Layer 2, fanless, IP30, DIN-rail mounted, redundant 9.6–60 V DC / 18–30 V AC dual power input. Operating temperature −40 °C to +75 °C. 16 Gbps backplane, 4K MAC table, < 10 µs switching delay. Certifications: CE, FCC, UL, EN61000 EMC.
How do I install and power the ISE2005D?
Mount on a 35 mm DIN rail using the integrated clip. Connect the redundant power inputs to a 9.6–60 V DC or 18–30 V AC source — both inputs accept the same voltage and provide automatic failover. Connect Ethernet devices to the 5× RJ45 ports. Plug-and-play; no software configuration required for basic operation.
What configuration options does the ISE2005D have?
Two physical DIP switches on the device: QoS (2-queue WRR priority for traffic prioritization) and Broadcast Storm Protection (limits broadcast flood to protect downstream devices). Set DIP positions before powering on. The ISE2005D has no web GUI, no CLI, and no SNMP — these DIPs are the only configurable options.
When should I choose the ISE2005D over the ISE5005D?
Choose ISE2005D for Fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) deployments where Gigabit isn’t needed — typical for legacy industrial controllers, sensors, and PLCs. Choose ISE5005D when devices require Gigabit (1000 Mbps) speed — modern IP cameras, NVRs, or higher-bandwidth industrial equipment. Both have 5 ports and the same DIN-rail form factor and power input range.
