What is the IR925 and what are its key capabilities?

The IR925 is InHand’s 5G industrial router for unattended industrial sites. Key capabilities:

– 5G NR (SA/NSA), up to 3.4 Gbps downlink, with 4G/3G fallback
– Dual Nano-SIM, optional eSIM
– Dual-band Wi-Fi 6, AP and Client modes
– 1× 2.5GbE + 4× GbE, WAN/LAN configurable
– RS232 + RS485, 4× DIO, 1× relay, and GNSS
– IPsec and L2TP VPN, with a hardware TPM
– -40 to +70 °C, DC 9–48 V, DIN-rail or wall mount

Cellular SKUs: IR925-GLNR-WLAN, IR925-EUNR-WLAN, IR925-CNNR-WLAN.

he IR925 uses InHand DeviceLive for cloud management. Registration is done in the DeviceLive portal. No configuration is needed on the device’s web GUI. Log in to DeviceLive at device.inhandcloud.com, go to Devices, and click Add. Enter a device name plus the serial number and MAC address, then click Finish. Once the IR925 has internet access, it connects to DeviceLive automatically and appears online.

R925 includes:

– 1× RS232 and 1× RS485 serial (15 kV ESD protection), for TCP/UDP transparent transmission and Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP conversion
– 4× digital I/O, each configurable as input or output
– 1× relay output, 2 A @ 30 V DC

Configure them in the web GUI under Industrial Interfaces > Industrial Serial Port and Industrial Interfaces > Industrial I/O. View live I/O state under Status > I/O.

Two Ethernet ports can serve as WAN: WAN1/LAN1 and LAN2/WAN2. Go to Internet > Uplink Table, add a WAN or Wi-Fi (STA) uplink alongside Cellular, and drag the uplinks to set their priority. Then go to Internet > Uplink Setting, choose Link Backup (traffic moves to the next uplink on failure) or Load Balancing (all healthy uplinks carry traffic), enable the detection criteria, and set a detection address.
