Smart Building Energy and O&M Management Solution
Applications et cas
Points clés à retenir
To address fragmented systems, weak-signal areas such as basements, delayed manual O&M, and data security risks in buildings and campuses, InHand builds a smart building energy and O&M management solution based on the EC312 LoRaWAN edge gateway. Supporting up to 2,000 nodes, the solution uses low-power wireless networking to cover entire buildings and hard-to-wire areas, connecting electricity, water, gas meters, and environmental sensors. With edge computing and cloud management, it enables real-time alerts, remote diagnostics, and batch upgrades. Secure Boot, TPM, and encrypted tunnels provide end-to-end protection. The solution helps reduce wiring costs, improve energy efficiency and O&M response, and support a secure, low-carbon smart building upgrade.
Arrière-plan
Driven by carbon reduction goals, smart city initiatives, and the digitalization of building operations, buildings are evolving from simple physical spaces into complex systems that integrate energy, environment, safety, and O&M. As energy-consuming devices and sensing terminals increase across commercial complexes, campuses, parks, and public buildings, operators need a lower-cost and more scalable way to monitor building performance. The combination of low-power wide-area networking, edge computing, and cloud platforms offers a new path for energy optimization and refined O&M.
Exigences du client
Solution
InHand EC312 LoRaWAN edge gateway supports up to 2,000 nodes and connects electricity, water, and gas meters, as well as multiple environmental sensors. With broad terminal compatibility and built-in LNS, it enables cross-system data aggregation and centralized management. Integrated with cloud platforms and edge computing, the solution creates a closed loop from data collection and edge processing to remote O&M. Wireless deployment provides fast whole-building coverage, reduces wiring costs, and reaches hard-to-wire areas such as basements and weak-current rooms. Edge computing enables real-time alerts and policy linkage, while end-to-end security from device to cloud suppor
