What is the ISM5020D?

The ISM5020D is a Layer 3 managed 20-port industrial Gigabit Ethernet switch with 16× Gigabit copper + 4× 100/1000/2500BaseX SFP uplinks. Fanless, IP40, DIN-rail mounted, redundant 18–60 V DC dual power input. 68 Gbps backplane, 16K MAC table. Operating temperature −40 °C to +85 °C. Certifications: CE, FCC, IEC 61850-3. Supports static routing, RIP, OSPF, VRRP, DHCP server, and sFlow.

Mount on a 35 mm DIN rail. Connect redundant 18–60 V DC power inputs. Sized for substation and large industrial automation cabinets, the ISM5020D’s 130×140×110 mm enclosure includes 16 Gigabit copper ports plus 4 SFP slots for fiber uplinks or 2.5G aggregation links.

Connect your PC directly to any copper port, set the PC’s IP to 192.168.2.2, and go to http://192.168.2.1 . Log in with the device-label credentials. Both HTTP and HTTPS are enabled by default.

Go to L3 Configuration > IP Interface to define a Layer 3 IP on a VLAN interface. For dynamic routing, go to L3 Configuration > Routing Protocols and enable RIP or OSPF. Use L3 > VRRP for first-hop gateway redundancy between paired ISM5020D switches. Use L3 > DHCP Server to provide DHCP service to a downstream subnet, with optional DHCP snooping and Dynamic ARP Inspection for security.
