Cellular SKUs:

  • MDT600-NRQ5 (5G NSA/SA, global) and MDT600-NRQ5-ANT (external FAKRA antenna option)
  • MDT600-FQ09 (4G LTE Cat 6, global) and MDT600-FQ09-ANT (external antenna)
  • MDT600-EN00 (no cellular)

Storage suffix: omit for the default 256 GB UFS, or add -256GB , -512GB , or -1TB to ship with an additional M.2 SATA SSD pre-installed.

  1. Mount the MDT600 to a VESA 75 × 75 plate or bracket. The 300 × 182 × 38 mm metal housing is IP65 / IK08-rated and operates from −30 to +70 °C.
  2. Wire the 26-pin waterproof connector using the multi-function cable ( SCAB000601 ):
  • VIN+ (Pin 1), VIN− (Pin 8) — DC 9–48 V power
  • IGT (Pin 2) — ignition signal (high-active: 8 V to VIN+ asserted, 0–3 V passive)
  • HI_IN2 (Pin 3) — high-active digital input
  • LI_IN3 (Pin 4) — low-active digital input (Active: 0 to VIN+ −9 V; Passive: VIN+ −4 V to VIN+)
  • CI_IN4 / IN5 / IN6 (Pins 5–7) — software-configurable as high- or low-active
  • LO_OUT1 / OUT2 (Pins 9–10) — low-active digital outputs (switch high-impedance → VIN−, max ±60 mA)
  • RS485 A/B (Pins 12–13), RS232 RX/TX (Pins 14–15), CAN-H/L (Pins 17–18)
  • L-Audio / R-Audio / MIC (Pins 23, 24, 26) for audio
  1. Insert SIMs in the dual 4FF Nano-SIM slots if cellular is needed.
  2. Connect Ethernet at the M12 X-coded port using the M12-to-RJ45 cable ( AETH050002 ); USB-C is available for service / data transfer.
  3. Connect cameras (see Q4).
  4. Apply power. With IGT asserted, the MDT600 boots into Android 14 or Linux per the SKU.

Insert one or two 4FF Nano-SIMs and connect the 5G/4G antenna — built-in for the standard SKUs, or external FAKRA D-coded for the -ANT SKUs (recommended when the unit is mounted in a metal cabinet that blocks the built-in antenna). Power on the MDT600 — it auto-detects the carrier and applies the matching APN in most cases. If the link does not come up, configure the APN through the OS network settings (Android 14: Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > Access Point Names; Linux: standard NetworkManager / nmcli ).

The MDT600 supports 8× external AHD cameras (1080p, M12 4-pin connector) connected via the 26-pin Camera Test Cable ( SCAB000600 ). Recommended camera SKUs from the accessory list:

Use caseOrder codeLens / FOVNotes
DMS (driver monitor) SMDM060045 6 mm, 50° FOVIR illumination for low-light cabin monitoring; M12 4P; −30 to +70 °C
ADAS (forward-facing) SMDM060044 2.1 mm, 120° FOVM12 4P; −20 to +70 °C
360° surround / panoramic SMDM060043 1.6 mm, 210° FOVUsed as the 4 corners of a 360° bird’s-eye-view system; M12 4P; −20 to +70 °C

The 6-TOPS NPU runs ADAS algorithms (forward-collision warning, lane-departure detection, pedestrian / vehicle detection) and DMS algorithms (driver fatigue, distraction) at the edge — no cloud round-trip — and feeds events into dispatch / fleet workflows running on the same Android 14 or Linux app stack.
