ODU12 5G Outdoor Router Now Verizon Certified
Şirket Haberleri
InHand Networks is pleased to announce that its ODU12 5G outdoor router has received Verizon Open Development certification, marking an important step in expanding outdoor 5G connectivity options for U.S. businesses and solution providers.
The certification confirms that the approved ODU12 configuration has completed Verizon’s certification process and is authorized to operate on the Verizon wireless network. The ODU12 is now available for businesses seeking a Verizon-certified outdoor 5G router for commercial deployments.
What Does Verizon Certification Mean for Businesses?
Carrier certification is an important consideration when selecting cellular networking equipment. Verizon Open Development certification confirms that a device has completed the applicable approval process for operation on Verizon’s wireless network.
For businesses and solution providers, the ODU12’s certification provides a verified device option for outdoor 5G deployments using Verizon’s network.
Why Deploy a 5G Router Outdoors?
Building materials such as concrete, metal, and certain types of glass can weaken cellular signals before they reach an indoor router. Placing a 5G router outdoors can help reduce this signal loss by positioning the device outside these physical barriers.
O InHand ODU12 is designed for outdoor installation, combining 5G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi 7, and two 2.5GbE Ethernet ports in a compact, IP67-rated enclosure. Its dust-tight, water-resistant construction helps protect the device from exposure to outdoor conditions.
The ODU12 also features integrated omnidirectional antennas, eliminating the need to install or align external antennas. With IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE), power and data are delivered through a single Ethernet cable, simplifying installation and reducing cabling requirements.
For businesses managing multiple locations, the ODU12 supports centralized monitoring, remote configuration, and maintenance through InHand’s InCloud Manager platform.
Outdoor 5G Connectivity for Commercial Applications
The ODU12 is designed to meet the connectivity needs of a variety of commercial environments, including outdoor cafés and restaurants, resorts and campgrounds, retail locations, and enterprise branch offices.
With flexible wall, pole, and roof mounting options, the router can accommodate different installation requirements. Its all-in-one design also reduces the need for additional antenna components, making outdoor 5G deployment more straightforward.
