Meet the upcoming IR602 5G RedCap industrial router
Şirket Haberleri
The new IR602 brings 5G RedCap, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, and 2.5GbE connectivity together for distributed, medium-data-rate industrial IoT deployments.
August 2026,
InHand Networks will soon launch the IR602, a lightweight 5G RedCap industrial router designed for large-scale, medium-data-rate industrial IoT deployments. Its all-in-one design combines 5G RedCap cellular connectivity, simultaneous dual-band Wi-Fi 6, and 2.5GbE wired access in one compact device.
For large-scale, medium-data-rate deployments, the IR602 is designed to balance deployment cost with a gradual, long-term move to 5G. It links local equipment with remote systems and gives operations teams a consistent way to connect and manage distributed sites.
Cellular, Wi-Fi, and wired connectivity
The IR602 supports 5G NR Standalone and 4G LTE FDD/TDD. Peak cellular rates differ by regional model: the IR602-GLRC-WLAN global version supports up to 223 Mbps downlink and 123 Mbps uplink, while the IR602-CNRC-WLAN China version supports up to 226 Mbps downlink and 120 Mbps uplink. Actual performance depends on the network, signal conditions, and deployment environment.
For local access, dual-band Wi-Fi 6 AX3000 operates concurrently on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Wired connections include one switchable 2.5GbE WAN/LAN port and one 1GbE LAN port. Together, these interfaces allow cellular, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet connections to serve different parts of an industrial site network.
Link management for distributed sites
Two Nano-SIM slots support hot backup, with automatic switching when dialing or cellular connectivity is abnormal. The router can use Ethernet WAN, cellular, or Wi-Fi STA as uplinks. Priority-based multi-WAN failover operates at the millisecond level, while ICMP and TCP health checks, automatic reconnection, load balancing, and an embedded hardware watchdog help the router respond to common link and device faults
Network security and traffic control
The IR602 supports IPsec, L2TP, WireGuard, and OpenVPN for encrypted network connections. A stateful firewall, inbound and outbound access rules, policy-based routing, and QoS controls give administrators practical ways to manage access and prioritize traffic. These controls support a layered network policy without implying absolute protection against every threat.
Centralized operations through DeviceLive
DeviceLive gives teams a central view of distributed IR602 deployments. Administrators can monitor device status and cellular signal quality, configure devices in batches, run remote diagnostics, deploy firmware and configuration updates over the air, and receive device alerts. A REST API supports integration with third-party systems.
Industrial hardware for control cabinets and field enclosures
The IR602 has an IP30, fanless, all-metal housing and is rated to operate from -40°C to +70°C, with extended operation up to +75°C. It meets Level 3 requirements for the industrial EMC immunity tests listed in the V1.1 specification. DIN-rail and wall-mount options support installation in control cabinets and suitable field enclosures.
Uygulamalar
The IR602 is intended for distributed connectivity in smart manufacturing, smart energy, municipal infrastructure, transport infrastructure, environmental and chemical safety, and emergency communications. Across these settings, it can connect local assets, provide multiple uplink options, and bring remote device management to sites that are costly or difficult to visit.
