Frequently Asked Questions

What is the ISE2003D?

The ISE2003D is an unmanaged 3-port industrial Ethernet switch with 2× 10/100BaseT copper + 1× 100BaseFX fiber (SC connector — multi-mode 5 km or single-mode 20 km). Layer 2, fanless, IP30, DIN-rail mounted, redundant 9.6–60 V DC / 18–30 V AC dual power input. Operating temperature −40 °C to +75 °C. Certifications: CE, FCC, UL, EN61000 EMC Class 3-5.

Mount the ISE2003D on a 35 mm DIN rail using the integrated clip. Connect the redundant power inputs to a 9.6–60 V DC source (or 18–30 V AC) — both inputs accept the same voltage range and provide automatic failover. Connect copper devices to the RJ45 ports and fiber to the SC connector. The switch is plug-and-play — no software configuration required.

Two settings are available via physical DIP switches on the device: QoS (enables a 2-queue Weighted Round Robin priority for high vs. low-priority traffic) and Broadcast Storm Protection (limits broadcast traffic to prevent network flooding). Set the DIP switches before powering the device. The ISE2003D has no web interface and no CLI — these DIP switches are the only configurable options.

Choose the ISE2003D when you need to extend a network over fiber — one of its three ports is a 100BaseFX fiber port supporting up to 5 km multi-mode or 20 km single-mode. Choose the ISE2005D when all five ports should be 10/100 Mbps copper without fiber. Both share the same Fast Ethernet performance, IP30 enclosure, redundant power, and 24×100×61.8 mm DIN-rail footprint.
