Which cellular carriers are certified with the FWA12?
FWA12-NANR (5G NR, North America) is certified with Verizon (NSA), AT&T, T-Mobile, and FirstNet (5G), plus FCC, IC, and PTCRB. The FWA12 supports 5G R16 NSA/SA with 4-component-carrier downlink aggregation (4DL CA) and 2-component-carrier uplink (2UL CA), peak throughput up to 7 Gbps DL and 2.5 Gbps UL. Wi-Fi 7 dual-band included.
How do I set up and log in to the FWA12 for the first time?
Connect the 5G and Wi-Fi antennas, insert the SIM card, and power on the FWA12. Once the device boots, connect your computer via Ethernet to a LAN port or join the default Wi-Fi SSID printed on the device label. Open a browser and go to http://192.168.2.1 . Log in with the credentials on the device label. If Chrome blocks the login page, try Firefox or accept the browser security exception.
How do I connect the FWA12 to cellular and set the APN?
With the device powered off, insert the SIM card. Power on — the FWA12 auto-detects the carrier and applies the matching APN in most cases, so no manual setup is needed. If the cellular link does not come up, log in and go to Internet > Cellular, enter the APN per your carrier’s requirements, and click Apply. Verify by checking the Cellular LED: steady green = 5G connected; steady blue = 4G connected; blinking red = unable to access cellular network. The Signal LED color (red / blue / green) indicates weak / moderate / strong signal.
How do I configure failover on the FWA12?
Failover is configured in three sections under Internet:
- Uplink Table — set the priority order by dragging the priority handles. The interface at the top is the active uplink; lower entries serve as backups. Both Cellular and WAN are enabled by default.
- Uplink Setting — enable Link Detection, choose Detection Type (ICMP / DNS / HTTP), and enter one or two Detection Addresses. Tick the conditions that should trigger failover and adjust thresholds: Latency > 200 ms, Jitter > 200 ms, Loss > 5%, Signal Strength < Poor. When any ticked condition is met for the Last Time window, the active uplink is marked down.
- Link Backup — set Failover Mode to switch to the next-priority uplink when the active one fails.
Click Save at the bottom. Failback to the higher-priority uplink happens automatically once it recovers and passes Link Detection.
