InHand Networks Concludes Successful Participation at Middle East Energy 2026

Middle East Energy 2026 has drawn to a successful close at the Dubai World Trade Centre. On the hardware demonstration zone, InHand displayed six core product families targeting smart-grid and energy-IoT deployments: EC312 secure edge computer, IG502 cost-effective edge gateway, IR302 compact industrial cellular router, IR315 multi-port industrial router, ISM5012D managed industrial Ethernet switch and MG301 metering-specific gateway.

These six InHand industrial IoT hardware series——EC312, IG502, IR302, IR315, ISM5012D and MG301——cover secure edge computing, cost-effective edge access, cellular routing, multi-port routing, industrial switching and dedicated metering-gateway scenarios, delivering certified cybersecurity, rich industrial-protocol compatibility, flexible expansion, harsh-environment adaptability and redundant communication capabilities to satisfy diversified data-acquisition, networking and edge-processing demands of smart-grid and energy-site deployments.

Visiting integrators and utility engineers paid close attention to hardware environmental adaptability, protocol compatibility and cyber-security functions. Many visitors inquired about region-specific cellular-band variants and on-site deployment cases in high-temperature desert environments.

Power Distribution Overhead Line Monitoring System

The Power Distribution Overhead Line Monitoring System was one of the key solution highlights on show. Composed of field-installed line sensors, solar-powered line-mounted concentrators and AI-driven cloud analytic platform.

It implements real-time line-condition acquisition, transient-waveform recording, fault-section location and multi-dimensional risk early warning. Trained on more than one-billion field-recorded waveform datasets, the embedded AI algorithm achieves over 95 % comprehensive ground-fault diagnosis accuracy.

It can identify short-circuit, earth-fault and wire-break incidents, detect high-resistance earth-fault events with fault current ≥ 0.5 A, and generate advance alerts for insulator degradation, transformer defects, tree-barrier hazards and bird-nest risks on overhead lines.

All measured data, fault events and waveform files are uploaded via 4G/LTE cellular links to the central platform, which visualises feeder layout, fault locations and load status on GIS maps, and pushes alarm notifications via web dashboards, e-mail or mobile-app messages for fast field-maintenance dispatching. This greatly reduces outage duration and manual-patrol workload for distribution-network operators. 

Many local power-utility representatives stopped to discuss how to retrofit existing overhead-line infrastructure with this monitoring solution.

Smart Distribution Substation Environmental Monitoring Solution

Another star exhibit was the Smart Distribution Substation Environmental Monitoring Solution, adopting a cloud-edge-device three-tier architecture for comprehensive monitoring of unattended distribution-substation premises.

At the perception layer, multi-ype sensors collect real-time readings including temperature & humidity, water ingress, smoke, SF₆ / toxic-gas concentration, cabinet mechanical status, partial-discharge signals, access-control events and video surveillance streams.

At the edge layer, InHand monitoring-host hardware performs local data aggregation, threshold-judgement, real-time risk-alarm generation and linkage control of on-site actuators such as dehumidifiers, ventilation fans and water-drainage pumps.

At the cloud-platform layer, all-station data is centrally visualised, supporting multi-station unified management, historical-data query, custom-alarm-threshold configuration and automatic-report generation.
