Avec l&#039;av\u00e8nement de la 5G, la faible latence des communications cellulaires a permis le d\u00e9veloppement de nombreuses nouvelles applications, comme la chirurgie \u00e0 distance.<\/p><p><strong>Liaison sans fil longue distance\u00a0: micro-ondes, satellite<\/strong><\/p><p>Le syst\u00e8me de communication par satellite est en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 une forme de communication par micro-ondes, qui transmet les signaux micro-ondes au satellite faisant office de relais. La communication entre les multiples stations terrestres a pour principal objectif d&#039;assurer une couverture au sol \u00ab continue \u00bb, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la port\u00e9e du satellite sur des centaines, des milliers, voire des dizaines de milliers de kilom\u00e8tres. Starlink est un programme visant \u00e0 fournir un acc\u00e8s Internet via une constellation de satellites en orbite basse. Le programme Starlink complet comptera 12\u00a0000 satellites, et 42\u00a0000 autres sont pr\u00e9vus. Compar\u00e9 \u00e0 la 5G, le syst\u00e8me de communication par satellite en orbite basse offre une couverture plus \u00e9tendue et peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 pour les terminaux mobiles haut d\u00e9bit et longue port\u00e9e, tels que les avions et les navires.<\/p><p>Mais Starlink ne remplace pas la 5G. Starlink ne repr\u00e9sente pas une menace pour le march\u00e9 des communications traditionnelles, ciblant uniquement les 3 \u00e0 4 % de clients difficiles \u00e0 atteindre par les moyens traditionnels.<\/p><p>Par exemple, dans les zones d\u00e9sertiques, oc\u00e9aniques et rurales isol\u00e9es, beaucoup d\u00e9pendent actuellement de la transmission par satellite traditionnelle, dont le co\u00fbt est tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9.
