Starlink es un programa que proporciona servicios de internet mediante una constelaci\u00f3n de sat\u00e9lites en \u00f3rbita baja. En comparaci\u00f3n con 5G, el sistema de comunicaci\u00f3n por sat\u00e9lite de \u00f3rbita baja tiene una cobertura m\u00e1s amplia y puede aplicarse a terminales m\u00f3viles de alta velocidad y largo alcance, como aeronaves y barcos.<\/p><p>Pero Starlink no sustituye al 5G. Starlink no representa una amenaza para el mercado de las comunicaciones tradicionales, ya que se dirige \u00fanicamente al 3 o 4 por ciento de los clientes a los que es dif\u00edcil llegar con los medios tradicionales.<\/p><p>Por ejemplo, en zonas rurales remotas, muchos aviones en zonas des\u00e9rticas dependen actualmente de la transmisi\u00f3n satelital tradicional, cuyo costo es muy elevado. Seg\u00fan internet, el alquiler mensual de comunicaciones satelitales ronda los 200 d\u00f3lares al a\u00f1o.
