In diesem Fall bezieht sich die Routing-Dom\u00e4ne auf ein Autonomes System (AS), d. h. auf eine Gruppe von Netzen, die \u00fcber eine einheitliche Routing-Richtlinie oder ein einheitliches Protokoll Routing-Informationen miteinander austauschen. In diesem AS unterhalten alle OSPF-Router dieselbe Datenbank, die die Struktur dieses AS beschreibt und in der die Statusinformationen der entsprechenden Verbindungen in der Routing-Dom\u00e4ne gespeichert sind. Anhand dieser Datenbank berechnen die OSPF-Router ihre OSPF-Routing-Tabellen.<\/p><p>Als Link-State-Routing-Protokoll sendet OSPF die Link-State-Multicast-Daten LSA (Link State Advertisement) an alle Router in einem bestimmten Gebiet, was sich vom Distance-Vector-Routing-Protokoll unterscheidet. Router, die das Distanzvektor-Routing-Protokoll ausf\u00fchren, geben einige oder alle Routing-Tabellen an ihre Nachbarn weiter.<\/p><p>Was die Sicherheit des Informationsaustauschs betrifft, so sieht OSPF vor, dass jeder Informationsaustausch zwischen Routern bei Bedarf authentifiziert werden kann, um sicherzustellen, dass nur vertrauensw\u00fcrdige Router Routing-Informationen verbreiten k\u00f6nnen.
