Hardware Engineer Job Description:
InHand Electronics is seeking an energetic, highly-motivated individual with excellent engineering skills for a challenging and rewarding position designing electronic board-level solutions for handheld, single board computer and wireless devices. The successful candidate should have strong working knowledge of system design and be eager to learn about exciting new technologies. The Hardware Engineer should have intensive experience in designing with 32/64 bit microprocessor, such as ARM, TI OMAP and/or X86 processors.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Performing board-level design activities for internal R&D and customer projects such as smart sensors, wearable computers, PDAs, and cell phones. Activities include schematics, OCB layout review, debugging, design documents, etc.
• Working with InHand managers as necessary to create internal procedures and documentation to ensure consistent and efficient completion of board-level hardware design projects
• Serving as an interface to customers, as needed
• Participating in project reviews
• Providing periodic status reports to management

Minimum Requirements:
• 3 years total experience in hardware design with microprocessors
• BSEE degree
• Strong organizational skills
• Familiarity with all aspects of electronics design and project development cycle, from concept to production

Desired Qualifications:
• Knowledge of handheld and wireless device standards
• RF and wireless design experience
• FPGA/CPLD design experience
• Design of electronics for military and industrial environments
• Design of small, densely laid out electronic boards
• Design for manufacturing (DFM)
• Low-power electronics design
• Familiar with Mentor Graphics design tools.
• Experience with TI OMAP and Intel Atom processors is a plus.
• US citizenship or Green Card preferred
